Sextantio Albergo Diffuso, Santo Stefano di Sessanio

This is the worst hotel where I ever stayed. I can not follow and trust the good evaluations. We had a spacious but minimally furnished room (deluxe) directly over the bar. We were searching for a silent place in line with the advertising of the hotel. We were not told neither when booking nor when presenting the room upon arrival that the bar houses big and noisy groups in the evening and that there is no noise reduction in the ceiling between the bar and the room above. We had endless loud noise directly below us and could not open up the window, because loud speaking smokers stood below the window. The whole place around our room is a construction site with typical noises on the day and you have to find your way between. Also other services like breakfast were not provided like envisaged. The breakfast restaurant closed already at 9am although at the welcome we were told that the breakfast runs from 7.30 to 10.30 am. We booked for 3 nights and left after 1 night to a more pleasant place.

The hotel is preserving a charming authentic medieval decoration mixed with a touch of modern elements such the bathroom. The only thing missing is at least a fan in the room because it does get very warm during the day. The hotel is located in the most beautiful medieval little village. The staff is very friendly. They sell their home made olive shower gel that is so delicate on the skin and leaves it’s soft fragrance for a long time

I was here when they opened it years ago and during Christmas time i visited the charming village of Santo Stefano, i went inside the sextantio hotel reception and i was really surprised by the unprofessional and unfriendly welcome i received, they didn't even greeting. I' m really surprised how the receptionists have no the basic manners of a 4 stars hotel. Anyway the place is really peculiar
